Candle care & safety

Beauty Deserves
Thoughtful Care.

Eclisera arrangements are decorative display pieces. Only standalone candles expressly labeled for burning are designed to be lit.

Begin with the exact product

Check whether the piece is intended for burning.

A visible wick does not mean an Eclisera piece is designed to be burned. Bouquets, landscapes, desert gardens and other arrangements are decorative and should not be lit. For standalone candles labeled for burning, always follow the product-specific instructions supplied with the candle.

Before lighting

Prepare the candle
and its surroundings.

Take a moment to remove packaging and choose a clear, stable place before introducing a flame.

01

Read the label

Follow the care and safety instructions supplied with the exact Eclisera candle. Product-specific guidance takes priority.

02

Prepare the wick

Unless the product label directs otherwise, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each use and remove wick trimmings or debris.

03

Choose the right surface

Use a stable, appropriately sized, heat-resistant candle holder or surface that can contain melting wax.

04

Clear the area

Keep the candle at least 12 inches from curtains, paper, bedding and other combustible materials. Avoid fans, vents, open windows and drafts.

Bouquets, landscapes & decorative arrangements

Designed for display.
Not for burning.

Arrangement components may include wicks, but the completed arrangement is an artisan display piece and is not designed to be lit.

  1. 01

    Do not light the wicks

Do not burn the arrangement as assembled or remove an individual component for burning.

  2. 02

    Keep away from heat

Display away from open flames, direct heat and prolonged sunlight.

  3. 03

    Protect the composition

Handle the vessel and sculptural details gently, and keep the piece away from children and pets.

  4. 04

    Retain the care card

Keep the product's display and safety guidance with the arrangement for future reference.

While the candle is burning

Stay present.

Extinguishing & cooling

Let the candle rest completely.

Extinguish gently

Use a candle snuffer when appropriate or gently blow out the flame. Never use water, which can cause hot wax to splatter.

Confirm the flame is out

Check the wick and candle carefully. Do not leave the area until the flame and any glowing ember are fully extinguished.

Allow it to cool

Do not touch, move, trim or return the candle to a decorative arrangement until the wax and holder have completely cooled.

Three essential rules

Burn within sight.
Keep away from combustibles.
Keep away from children.

These principles belong on every candle-safety label. Keep the label or care card with the product and review it before each use. Contact Eclisera if the instructions for a particular candle are missing or unclear.

Intended use

Follow the guidance for the product you receive.

Standalone candles intended for burning are tested and supplied with product-specific care instructions. Decorative arrangements are not intended for burning, regardless of whether their sculptural components contain wicks.
